I can't say I am fond of his music, but his story is very interesting.
Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the book I read recently.
A friend of mine borrowed it from a public library, and I scanned it into 
openbook and read it.  It was the Story of his mom, whoose name is something 
like:
lulla Hardaway. I couldn't find it in nls, but if you ever get a chance to 
read it, it is a fine story of determination of a poor single mom to raise 
her family.  There is quite a bit there about Stevey.
