Blind Programming: A Website for Computer Programmers

By Contributor: Mario Eiland

Blind Programming is a Web site where blind and visually impaired programmers with different levels of expertise can exchange resources, ideas, knowledge, and experience. The Blind Programming site contains resource material for most programming languages, such as Visual Basic, C Plus Plus, Pascal, Java, Cobol, Unix, Linux and more. The site provides links to speech-friendly tutorials, help files, manuals, documentation, and tools on programming-related topics.

In addition to the information posted in this site, Blind programming has a discussion forum that people can join to ask specific questions or share one's expertise with other subscribers.

The site also provides a listing with Contact information for individuals looking for specialized services Such as custom screen reader configurations/scripting, custom web sites, programming projects, application tutoring, or scanning/translating needs.
