Others who claim to have experienced the JAWS crash when exiting OE are
stating on many other lists that this does not happen with 8.0.

John,

I certainly hate that this happens but have honestly either completely
forgotten or missed it. I have never heard of this problem with 7.1 and also
run OE and have run 7.1 since the beta with no issues. Seems to me there
must be something particular on your end causing this behavior. If this was
a wide spread issue you must know that those people would be on it, there
are too many outlook express users to let something like that go un
addressed. How many computers have you tried it on, if you even have more
than one? I have 2 very different desktops and no issue on either with 7.1
and outlook express. I assume that you have tried loading jaws with the
default settings before closing outlook express to see if it could be any
change that you are making. I'm not saying that it isn't real but of course
there has to be a reasonable explaination since there have been thousands of
beta testers of 7.1.
