Hi Don;

The TH-F6a is the most accessible HT on the market.

Also, the TH-D7A is also just as accessible.

The only difference is the D7A has a built-in TNC for packet and SkyCommand 
operation.

They can both be programmed with the keypad as well as a computer program 
that you can download for free from the KENWOOD website.

  I am looking for and or interested in finding an accessible dual band ht
  that can either be programmed from the keypad or by  computer interface 
plus
  be able to listen to and monitor both 2m and 70cm bands at the same time.
