Hi Richard,
The TS2000 will speak the value of each menu item, but you won't get as much
detail as with the 480. If you want to set the microphone gain, for
example, you will get no speech, but you can count the clicks as you turn
the channel knob. The vox, noise blanker and the speech compression buttons
do not have distinctive beeps, but I love my 2000 and won't trade it.

Subject: Kenwood T S 2000
Hi Folks,
I wonder if anyone has helpful information for the Kenwood 2000 like some
have about the T S 480? I have the manual and the buttons and knob
description, but would like to know more about what all the speech will tell
me. Tech support says that the V S 3 chip will give some information, but
they could not tell me what all it would do.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
