Hi everyone, I just thought of another side note here when monitoring
digital trunked systems. Some newer P-25 systems like the one in Michigan
that use simulcast cites use something that is called CQPSK modulation.
It is basically the same as P-25 with some considerations for simulcast
cells for trunked systems like what is here in Detroit. This is
monitorable, but the audio can tend to be choppy from time to time, and no
scanner out today has come up with a good solution to correcting this
problem.
