Yeah, they don't seem to be very responsive.  Let's hope they figure 
out a few things before they release Version 8.  There are lots of 
things I like about JAWS, but speaking as a programmer, I'd say it's 
time for FS to rewrite the basic screen reader engine from the ground 
up.  Scripting is great, but they're relying far too much on 
scripting to solve major problems.  I'll bet if we could see the 
source code, we'd find all sorts of stuff that nobody knows how it 
works, and nobody dares to touch it because they're afraid of what 
might break if they did.  Incidentally, this is a very common problem 
in all software that has been around for several years.  It 
eventually evolves to the point where you have to start over just to 
get it to work right.
