                           HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

********************************************************

Like I said, insensitive, but not racist. What do you call black people who make the same statements? As I said, the light/dark issue needs addressing.

I wonder why we don't allow republicans "access to us," whatever that means?

What Reid said reinforced the notion that 'lighter' is better and that the more blacks resemble whites then the easier they are accepted by white people. That gets pretty old, you know what I mean? Unconscious and silent racism is still racism and it is actually far more damaging because it comes in beneath the radar and people discount it thereby allowing it to continue unabated.

It's easier for the dems because we allow them access to us and we as black people overlook and explain away dems racist/racially unaware actions and words.

How is that supposed to make them feel as younng black women? What Reid said legitimizes the view that goal attainment of American blacks is dependent upon their skin color or lack thereof.

Even if nothing is done about it, at least acknowledge the wrongness of what he said. I promise they won't take away your 'ginuwine' liberal card.
