I always wonder how other paleo women eat<<<
I am a 54 (about to turn 55 in 21 days) year old paleo woman. At
5'8",currently I weight 122 lbs with BMI of 15 %. I only eat what's in
season as far as vegetables and fruits. My choice protein is fish but do not
turn up my nose to prime rib or NY strip steak and of course, wild turkey
which we have in abundance here. I cannot bring myself to eat deer, not
because I see them as bambis but the lot is such a filthy creature, wormy and
full of ticks.
My doctor nags me to gain weight and I always ask him if he nags his obese
patients to lose weight with such vehemence, which of course,it is totally
politically incorrect to do so around here where 90% of my county's
population happens to be bigger than my house.
What keeps my weight in check is not the diet since I can consume 4-5 oz of
raw and in shell nuts a day,it is my workload as a sheep farmer. My weight
lift equipment is my pitchfork, daily cleaning and feeding for about 4 hours
a day, every single day. It sure builds some muscles that no one knew it
existed until it hurts. I also train my Border Collies to work
sheep, covering 5 or more acres in sprints for corrections when they err or
think about cheating requires a lot of stamina and energy.
Sending out few pictures of my farm life. Little black dot holding lambs to
me is a 5 months old Border Collie. The other dogs are Kangal dogs living
with sheep to deter coyotes and pet dog packs. My dogs also follow paleo
diet in the raw form.
