You need to understand the study cited is looking at both endoscopic and 
histological results.  Endoscopic means the appearance of the intestinal 
mucosa as viewed through an endoscope.  Histology means the condition of 
the villi as seen in an actual biopsy specimen.  Histology is much more 
meaningful than the endoscopic view.  Histological results show little 
improvement in the 30 and above age group after 24 months.  Please read 
the abstract CAREFULLY!
