We parents get to hear any number of stupid things also.

After hearing Cerebral Plasy people have ask - How retarded is she... ((((not as retarded as You!!!!)))
And the old lady at church told me - God did this to her becasue I am a bad person.
And my favorite - God only gives those children to special people.
Oh and - they have sweet and loving personalities to make up for it.

Ohh, I like it! A corollary to that one is:

"If your faith were strong enough, he'd be healed." =20

My mom had "friends" from church that actually said that to her!

persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Number one on *my* list is "God made you this way for a reason!"

Janet and I came up with a Top Ten (or so) List (like Letterman's) of
things that "Make Us Cringe Every Time We Hear 'Em". I'll include it
for your amusement (or bemusement).=20

From the Home Office in Laramie, Wyoming:

Today's Top Ten List
                                  =20
                                  =20
"Things That Make Us Cringe Every Time We Hear Them"

                                  =20
10a. "They're married?! "

10. "Don't bother the nice man/woman"
                                   =20
  9. "Let me help you with that!"

  8. "Wheelchair Bound"

  7. "You Drive!?!"

  6. "...And they even have jobs!"

  5. "Those people"

  4. "How are we today?"

  3. "What would (s)he like?"

  2. "Honey"=20

  1. "You're so Brave."

Kendall=20

An unreasonable man (but my wife says that's redundant!)

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one
persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore, all
progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Right - they think we should just smile all the time! Makes me =20
grumpy just thinking about it. LOL
