the front edge of a shelf is more convenient then that even.
Especially when you don't have much of a shelf like on many computer style
desks.
Offen they're not deep enough to accomidate a full sized mobile rig with
antenna connections and so on in the back...so if you can mount the radio on
the back of the desk or on the wall or where ever and have all the
connections nicely tied up and tidy, and then just a small little control
head up front it certainly saves on desk space.
would have thought it would be more satisfactory with limited surface space.
we all forget about the vast amount of square footage a vertical wall can
offer when most horrizontal surfaces are utilized.
just too bad gravity doesn't cooperate hi hi.
