I choose the Aesir/Vanir, my kind of divinities, who I think are neolithic.
If we could imagine the worldview (weltanshauung?) of paleoman we might
have a better idea of what they thought edible. Idea suggested by the
book "Hamlet's Mill" (? it's been a long time), where the wheel of the
heavens is a mill and it grinds out plenty. Only seeds are ground, so
this denotes a neolithic culture.
