I read the specs, yes it does have the recorder active. I don't know what 
good that is on uhf/vhf, probably to promote more poor operating, but maybe 
some one will find a use for it. I guess if you can get it to id for you, 
that's a nice feature. I guess when it comes out we'll have to see.
