Yes, I have the RS Accurian hd radio. I think it's ok, and it's great for
the 2nd channels. My opinion only, but if the stations you listen to most
have a good strong analogue signal then the analogue signal sound better to
me, that is, a little more salt with analogue than with digital.. I've
noticed that the stations that have a 2nd or 3rd commercial free channel do
not have much diversity in what they play. BTW, I also have xm and the hd
sound quality between hd and xm seem similar.
This weekend I managed to receive (in analogue) several stations that I have
never been able to hear at all. I thought I was in the twilight zone! I
was hearing several Baltimore stations I didn't know were there (I live west
of DC). I think there must have been a band opening, I will go through all
the stations again and try to pick them up again. BTW, I am using the $8.00
RS rabbit ear antenna setting on my desk.
I have no luck with AM hd.
Accessibility? The Accurian comes with a little remote with 12 presets for
fm and 12 for am (6 on fm1 and fm2 each and same for am1 and am2). You can
not tune in between stations, so the tuning is 200 kHz, but like I
mentioned, the selectivity is great.
