  Hi;
  Thanks,
  haven't heard of that service before. Will have to look into it. My wife
  couldn't deal with 1.00 each time she used 411 but this might be a work
  around. How well has the phone service worked and what did you actually pay
  after taxes etc? The customer service guy I talked to was just guessing and
  the price kept rising.

  Hi Richard,

  I Have Vonage and they do not have free directory assistance. I use free
  411 as my information service. Free 411's only disadvantage is that you
  have to put up with advertisements, but nothing is truly free. The phone
  number for free 411 is
  800-373-3411.

  Hello;
  My apologies this is very off topic but there are a fair number of computer
  users on this list and someone else may have dealt with this issue.
  I decided I was going to look into vontage phone service and save some
  serious cash. It all sounded great until I mentioned directory assistance.
  .99 per call take it or leave it. I assumed that I would give them the same
  info that I give my local phone company and directory assistance costs would
  be waved. Has anyone else fought that fight? I never could decide if the
  answer was a definite no! or if the customer service rep just had no idea
  what I was talking about.
