Hello guys,
I thought the topic might keep some of you from hitting the delete key>
I wrote a little python script to check the swr of the antenna connected
to my TS-570DG.
All you do is execute the script passing the starting and ending
frequencies and an optional frequency step. The program saves your
frequency, power level, mode and antenna-tuner setting and restores them
after performing the measurements. Measurements are done using AM mode
with 5 watts power.
No, it's not as good as the MFJ-209, but it give you a rough idea of
your antenna resonance point. Below is a sample output from the script.

Script started on Thu Dec 28 16:05:15 2006
python swr.py --from 3500 --to 3600 --step 10
freq swr
3500 4
3510 4
3520 3
3530 2
3540 1
3550 1
3560 1
3570 1
3580 2
3590 3
frequency 03551
mode CW
power 100 watts
