The difference is that Vista is a totally new version of the Windows
operating system and that it's very different from XP. Given the timing, I
believe that JAWS will support Vista at about the time that Vista begins to
be shipped as the "standard" version of Windows on new systems early in 2007
and that this will be an update to 8.0, not a new version release. If FS
follows their normal pattern; and I know of no reason not to think they
will; JAWS 9.0 won't be out until late in the year. They've normally issued
a new version (6.0, 7.0, 8.0, etc.) late every year and released updates to
that version during the next several months. Now that they've introduced the
automatic update feature, I think you can probably expect updates more
frequently than in the past.

Hi, what is the difference, and is this something that will be worked on
with JFW 9.0? I know that it will be a while before 9.0 comes out, and I
just renewed my SMA that is good for the next few upgrades to JFW.
