Hi List,
For the record, if you want to have ham callsigns read properly in JAWS 8.0,
you do the following.
1. Either press insert + F2 and choose configuration manager or press
insert + F6 to bring it up directly.
2. Depending upon whether you want the feature turned on for every program
or just for your e-mail or browser or a database program:
A. for global adjustments, press control + shift + D to bring up the
default configuration file;
B. just make the changes in specific programs and do not press control+
shift + D.
3. From the main windows of the configuration manager, press alt + S for
settings.
4. Press T for text processing.
5. Press the tab key 6 times or use the hotkey alt + A to move to the
'spell alpha-numeric' radio buttons group.
6. Using the arrow keys, choose your desired setting (the default is
off)--spell or spell phonetically.
7. press enter to close the text processing dialogue.
8. press control + S to save the settings and then alt + F4 to exit the
configuration manager.
