The tz gang were going well - a bunch of U.K. and U.S.
operators.
5a7a was also strong on all bands.
Much to my surprise earlier today I worked a VK on 28 and 21
- apart from New Zealnd and various other islands near the
date line, just about as far as you can get from the U.K.
Also worked Iceland.
Yesterday morning (about 1100) was a big 28 opening to the
south and east from here, but this morning was not so good -
a few odd ones (such as the VK) coming out of nowhere.
All this using only an R8 with base about 3M above the
ground, and 100 from my TS2000 at my alternative location on
the south coast of G.
Oh, I almost forgot, I worked Terry (GM3WUX) also a member
of this list, on 40M this morning.
He was going like a train!

Hi Tom,
Late saturday morning there was a 10 meter opening from the
Philly area to
Africa. Worked TZ in Mali, which may be a new one on cw
for me. Also
heard a v5 in Namimbia, but he was working Europe and didn't
hear me.
Also got PZ Surinam on 20 later in the day.
Not much on 40 last night, but did work into Europe on 80
before I went to bed. Due to low power and poor antenna,
most of them either didn't hear me or were busy working guys
to their east, like UA3's. Heard some Europe on 160 but to
light and to much compitition to try and bust through.
Good luck today, Steve KW3A
