I think it may be the cross-band repeat. The manual isn't clear what key to
press to enable cross-band, except to press [f] and then the flattened X.
On the v7 this enables the visual band scan, but the 707 doesn't have this
feature.

do with power adjustment, but you're right, it didn't do anything here, at

Maybe it's one of those "for future expansion" things for the next model or
something.
As I say, it didn't seem to do anything here, but I really didn't want to
play with it too much as didn't want to screw anything up since I don't
readily have
sighted assistance here.
