Hi Gary,

That was me.  The E1 is the new high end Eton product also thought of as the
Grundig Satellite 900.  I love mine.  It is good enough that I can tune in
CBR in Calgary, Alberta at 1010 right next to KOMO 1000 here in Seattle by
using the synch tuning and the 4 kHz filter.  Even my Icom 746 Pro has
trouble separating those two stations with enough intelligence to make CBR
worth listening while the E1 can do it with very little difficulty and a
nice recovery of audio from CBR.  It is on the expensive side though at $400
from Heartland America.

The 7600 is laid out just like the 7600gr.  However the 7600 only has nine
memories, if the manual was read correctly.
As others have said, the clocks, alarms, etc. are not accessible.

Someone mentioned an "e1" which they liked.  What is this?
