There is a "drive refreash line" that goes bad on a floppy drive.
At ~around~ the same time, I find the drive will not Format correctly
~sometimes~ (and other problems that escape me for the moment...)

I always replaced the floppy drive when this happened, but no longer
use them for much, <grin>
