Hello list serv friends,

One of our family friends is an Anheuser-Busch exec and sent the following:

Hi Myrtice!

Yes it is true. Budweiser is definitely NOT "gluten free"... it is brewed with
barley malt & rice. However, we are about to release a "gluten-free" beer
called Redbridge next week. We will not be advertising it as "gluten-free",
because our legal folks tell us that there is no FDA approved definition of
"gluten-free" and there is not an official FDA approved test for "gluten-free".

Redbridge is a beer brewed with sorghum, thus there is no wheat or barley used
in the brewing process and there are NO traces of gluten. I have attached a
sell-sheet with some additional information. Please feel free to share this, it
is public knowledge... we will be getting the official word out next week.

I have tried a sample of this beer and it is very good... tastes more like a
craft beer (Redhook, etc.) then a domestic premium lager like Budweiser.

He is bringing us a sample at Christmas, so will let you know how we think it tastes.

Happy Holidays to everyone - Myrtice (So CAL)

* Please remember some posters may be WHEAT-FREE, but not GLUTEN-FREE *
