Hello!

Everyone here at the University of Chicago Celiac Disease Program is
thrilled to announce that we've distributed our 1000th care package to a
newly diagnosed (biopsy confirmed) patient with celiac disease! Since we
started the program in 2001, literally dozens of companies and
individuals have worked with us to make this critical program possible.
We are deeply grateful for the financial support of the Friends of
Celiac Disease Research, The Frances E. Streit Foundation and the Todd
Wahl Memorial Fund.

There are a special group of companies who have been incredibly generous
to this program, giving on a regular basis to ensure that care package
recipients know that the gluten-free diet is a great tasting, healthy
diet -- right from the start. We want you to know who these special
companies are, an outstanding group of organizations that have shown an
unusual level of dedication to the celiac community:

Annie's Homegrown Naturals
Breads from Anna
Carol Fenster/Savory Palate
Cause You're Special
Chebe Bread
Ener-G Foods
Enjoy Life National Brands
Gluten-Free Living
Gluten-Free Pantry
Gluten-Free Passport
Living Without Magazine
Namaste Foods
1-2-3 Gluten-Free
Tinkyada Rice Pasta
U.S. Mills - Erewhon cereals

The care package program is designed to help patients within the first
three months of diagnosis who have not received dietary counseling and
need information about the gluten-free diet. If you'd like to know more
about the care package program, please go to www.celiacdisease.net.

Care packages are sent to children and adults across the United States.
We look forward to continuing to serve the celiac community--here's to
the next 1000!
Michelle
