Hi Hank,
I haven't been able to listen for digital A M dx yet because stations have
been prohibited from broadcasting digital signals at night. I do remember
when a few stations were doing test broadcasts a couple of years ago, but I
didn't have a radio capable of receiving the digital signals at that time.
The hardest thing that we. listeners, will have to get used to is the
approximately 5 second delay that the digital broadcast introduces in the
digital audio path. Its going to make it difficult to listen to live sports
while one is actually at the game or race being 5 seconds behind all of the
time. I'm sure that the 5 second lead time will be reduced with further
improvements in the IBOC circuitry.
