Not true, cable has to switch to a digital signal too. It's actually there 
in this area on Comcast and the digital cable boxes will only accept that 
digital signal, if you put a VCR in line before the digital box, it won't 
work. It used to but about 2 months before I switched, they changed that so 
my VCR that was in line before the cable box had to be moved to after the 
box because the box wouldn't take the signal coming out of the VCR anymore. 
I switched with the box downstairs and has the same thing happen, no luck. 
That's not why I switched to the dish, but I sure am glad I did. We might 
not have to, if the receiver keeps putting out an analog signal, I'll have 
to check on that. If you have the digital cable boxes and stuff, it might 
not need to be changed, they'll probably be fazed out rather than replaced 
right away.
