with HRD, did you ever try to run the remote server software in the tools
menu? Reason I ask this is, if you did once, it will start up every time
with the computer and if that's using the comm port, the ARCP software
can't. If you're not sure, hit control, alt, delete, and look in there and
see if the HRD remote server is running. Also, are you trying to run the
ARCP software just after running the HRD software? or are you restarting the
computer first? I find that HRD tends to hold on to the comm port even after
you shut it down, some times even with out the remote server active so you
might want to try running the ARCP software after a restart. Only other
things I can think of are make very sure the baud rates and all are set
right which I'm sure you did. I'm thinking though it's more likely that HRD
is holding that comm port on you.
