Hi Group,

I have 2 TMV 7A radios and I am wondering if the cable you are talking about 
is proprietary.  If not, what kind of cable is it and where can you get one?

just insert the plug into the jack on the tmv7a and turn it until the groov
on the plug and the one in the jack line up...you would have to use a hammer
to bend the pins in that thing, and as long as you feel it in, its just
fine.
I think the groove is at the top, or the side 90 degrees from up.
