Christy,

Many hams  enjoy HF from apartments and condo's.  If you have a deck or 
balcony, you have more options, but even if you must set up the antenna 
indoors, it is still done with success.

Since we are at the bottom of the sunspot cycle, you aren't going to set the 
world on fire, but  can still have fun on hf.   Where you are located in the 
building(ground floor or 5th floor) and what the building is constructed of, 
as well as how much power  you can run before  the neighbors start banging 
on the wall because you are  getting into the stereeo, are all factors  in 
how well you can do.  It's not a lost cause.  Just  will take a bit of 
effort on your part.
