Howdy,

I sent this earlier, but I don't think it made the list. (Actually, I
sent a few things, so I'll address them all)

First...sorry to hear about your job loss, Howard. Hope things
improve...funny that we can either have lots of time, or we can have
money, but rarely can we have both at once.

Next...the cq100 (QSONet) thing. Tuning can be done with the keyboard,
but I haven't found how to switch modes. I'd also like to be able to
remap the PTT (it's on the spacebar). There is no keyboard-accessible
way to change settings (like momentary or locking PTT, morse speed,
etc.) as the thing doesn't seem to use a standard pull-down
menu. Still, tuning is easy enough, but the rest? Haven't figured it
out. Not that I've tried very hard.

Finally. Credit card terminals. The site I used to use is, indeed,
www.propay.com. They charge 3.5%+35 cents per transaction, with a
monthly limit of $1,000 in charges...I think that's right...for
$35/year. Of course, you can pay more and get higher limits and lower
per-transaction fees, and the ability to call cards in on the phone,
but this is a good option if you don't do many (or large)
transactions. And here's the link for the Costco service I mentioned
early, at least, as I had it a long time ago...no, I haven't checked
it out:
