Howard,

Obviously, I'm not Tom, but as a long time user of DBTW I can answer 
the question.  To braille XL spreadsheets in Duxbury, open them in 
Word and save them as Word documents.  You can then open them in 
Duxbury, although you may still need to work on them to make them 
easy to read in braille.  I should also emphasize that you cannot 
simply rename a .XLS file to .DOC because, unlike Windows, DBTW 
determines the file type from header information in the file, not 
from the file extension.
