far as I know you can get either or, but with a newer radio with the EQ in 
it, you can make the 4 sound tolerable to listen to, or the 5 high enough to 
work DX. Personally I think the 4 on it's own sounds horrible, even working 
DX though I know it gets the job done well but it's just so narrow. I think 
I'd get the 5 and if you want to adjust it narrower, do it with the EQ. I 
have my MC-80 which is not narrow sounding at all and I can work DX no 
problem here.
