I have some 900 MHZ that work quite well and may have more range than
bluetooth. They are stereo so can do that or fed with a mixer two
channels of audio to two or one (both) earbuds. I can also choose the
earbuds or headphones that plug into the belt receiver. Range is about
300 feet or more depending on local terrain.

This is close to off-topic, but radio-related. I am
thinking of buying a bluetooth wireless headset to use for
general listening, not two-way communication over the computer.
Has anyone tried one for that purpose and did you like it?
I was probably going to mostly use it for listening to
Talking book magazines and to various types of radios such as
amateur radio or scanners, etc.
I expect that with bluetooth, the audio is good until you
get out of range and then it probably just stops dead.
Thanks for any ideas.
