I have a cables to go prolific USB to serial adapter, actually, I have 3 or 
4 of them around here, cost $19.95 last I knew on amazon.com and I've never 
had a problem with them. I sue one with my rig programming software every 
time since I have USB ports on the front of my computers and no Serial port 
at all on my laptop and they work great.
