Dan,

Digital voice keying (dvk) may also be known by other names. In a nutshell,
it allows you to use your pc soundcard to transmit pre recorded .wav files.

Mostly used in ssb contests where you need to repeat the same thing 500
times in a weekend. Like " CQ contest, CQ contest, blah, blah blah" or
"thanks, you're 59 in Upper Slobovia".

The Writelog contesting software I use has it included and other contest
software packages offer it as well, but not all of them. Another stand
alone program I have heard of is "voice key express" but have never used it
and can't really comment on it.

73, Steve kw3a
