i'm no shrink, but i believe ocd and body dismorphic disorders are
anxiety-based. i wouldn't be surprised if an untreated or
undertreated thyroid patient saw an elevation in their other symptoms
and reduction (though not alleviation) in said symptoms when they get
better. but definitely not the same kind of parent-child
relationship you see between the thyroid and adrenals, let's say.
