Re: discussion of dental problems, thyroid problems and Sjogren's
syndrome.
I recently heard about a dental study which found that inadequate saliva
leads to increased dental problems. Seems the saliva neutralizes the
bacteria, etc. that attack the mouth and cause cavities and other dental
problems. Sjogren's syndrome is definetly asssociated with dryness of
the mouth and hypothyroid can also have this symptom, so I would assume
sufferers of both can be prone to additional dental difficulties.
