Mary, You're right. I guess I haven't made it clear that I am one of the
unlucky ones who developed osteoporosis from Synthroid. Even my endo admits
it, and that 's the reason my dosage went down this year. You can imagine
how I feel when I look at the form that gets submitted to my insurance
company, and I see "chemically induced osteoporosis" checked. Frankly,
until that occurred, I was content to stay on Synthroid for the rest of my
like, being totally unaware that there were any options. And, it's not that
I gained that much weight; it's just that I can't lose it without going on
a liquid diet.Unfortunately, I am now in a borderline hypothyroid state,
and caught between the devil and the deep blue sea. I confess that I don't
have my latest TSH readings on hand, and will have to wait until my next
blood tests at the end of April.
I respect your opinion and comments very much. It's people like you who
make the list worthwhile.
