You should have simply told him: "I hired you for advice. If you can
not give it to me today, I will reschedule the appointment and not pay for
this one." And if he objects, add that "If you refuse to give me
advice, then you are misrepresenting yourself and your profession."<<<<

Yes you are right I should have. I have GOT to learn to stand up more for
myself. You won't believe his remarks about what I should do about my blood
sugars.
I love this doctor for thyroid, I guess thats why I was afraid to say
anything, he is helping me-but I have got to get some control over it. Anyhow
listen to this: makes my skin crawl:

I have extreme problems with blood sugar, it drops extremly low in just a few
seconds, sometimes with warning and sometimes without. So low that I have
passed out on several occassions, sometimes I can stop it and sometimes not.
Anyhow, enough rambling, I told him I was having problems with it, all while
he was trying to push me out the door. It has been dropping down into the 50's
and 40's. He told me well if it is "really" that low we would need to do
something. He told me that next time I should allow myself to go unconscious,
have someone draw my blood and then they can revive me.
Dumb me, I say okay and leave.
Why did I do that!!!
Isn't this incredibly dangerous to do? What if I go even lower. I have a 17
month at home, how do I let myself go unconscious and watch her and drive to
the hospital at the same time.

You are right~ I need to stand up for myself. I still can't believe what he
told me
Thanks!
