An elected president according the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed
by PDOIS, UDP, NDAM, PPP, NRP is not permitted to serve for more than one
term or to give support to a future presidential candidate. “The interim
president of the republic under the Alliance shall serve for one five year
term of office only. He/she shall vacate his or her seat at the end of his
or her term and shall neither seek nor support the candidature of any other
person for the ensuing presidential election.”
Does this disqulify current executive members of NADD to be choosen the
flag bearer since they will most probably continue to support their
original parties?
I think we should have a female as the flag bearer for NADD. Liberia has
set a record for Africa today having the first woman president on the
continent and The Gambia should be the next. Men have ruled all African
countries since independence and have failed and its time we see what women
are capable of.
