I expect it was a popular antenna in the UK and europe long before it became
camercially popular and camercially availible in north america.
The specific matching network that was mentioned which allows the g5rv to
resonate on ham freqs, is that to do with the length of 300ohm(450ohm?)
line along with the addition of 50ohm coax?
Since i think the antenna is basically a dipole without the feed line
configuration right?
