Its ironic, many older, extra class and general class license holders with
their eons of experience, really do believe that standards have become akin
to this satirical commedy.
No one works as hard as they did back in the day, and the young generation
is handed everything on a silver platter, blah blah blah.
Its not just with regard to amateur radio either. These kinds of folks
seem to think all standards are drastically lower then what they had to go
through.
Its true, the young generation is certainly more privallaged, but there is
nothing wrong with that, and its the older, baby boomer plus generation that
was the biggest contributor to this current trend towards higher efficiency
and easier work loads, as well as less restrictive standards.

The nature of work is changing and it is no longer necesary to work as hard
to accomplish the same objectives and goals as it once was.
However, the older generation seems to miss this point.
