Because we live 25 miles from the repeater I found out and we can't hit
it with an ht.  We can hit it with a mobile.  So we want to cross band
repeat with a mobile and then we can use the ht that we paid damn good
money for around the house and in the yard.

I may have missed out on part of this thread, but why are  you wanting 
crossband?  You wanting to use an ht on 440 around the house and talk to

the main radio which will talk to a two meter repeater?  Not saying you 
don't need it, just curious what you want it for.
