Ya good point Steve, only think that I could think of is he may be doing a
system restore like you said.

Are you doing system restores that might bring back icons created before you
assigned the shortcut keys?  When you recreate the sequence, is the entry in
the dialog blank?  I can't think of any other reason why the key assignments
would disappear, unless you've got something on your system that plays
around with hot key assignments, and I've never heard of that happening.

By the way, for the on-topic police, the hotkey that disappears is for
EchoLink, right?
