Fred,
Not sure what is going on at your end, but remember the 2000 has a main
and a sub receiver and on the main receiver has two VFO's A and B.
To switch between a and b vfo's, use a/b button. To change between main
and sub rx, use the left and right buttons of the four buttons just to
the right of the main tuning knob.
If the problem is on the sub rx, be sure it is turned on by pushing in the
sub volume control, which is the knob at the lower right hand corner of the
front panel.
If you can't rx on the main, be sure the rf gain is fully clockwise. It
is the outer ring of the knob just to the left of the multi function knob.
To do a full reset:
1. Turn off rig.
2.
Press and hold a/b button while turning on power
3 After rig comes on, release a/b button
4 Press a/b button again and rig will reset. If you don't push the a/b
button a second time within a few seconds, the reset will abort and not
take place. It is sort of giving you one last chance to change your mind
before it's too late.
Same instructions for a partial reset except use a=b button instead of a/b
button. Full reset restores rig to the way it was when you opened the
box. Partial reset leaves memories and menus intact.
Good luck, Steve KW3A
