Pat,
I would not allow such myself. I would dismiss the person so that they can
listen to their show. It is disrespectful to other's time, disruptful,
and a half hearted way of showing God you are serious about spending
time learning, praising or praying. Hopefully I've not stomped a toe on
list without knowing.

Hi Everyone,
I have a question for all of you. <smile>
Some of you already know my answer to this question, but I would like to
hear from everyone on this EChurch list anyway. <smile>
First of all, I must emphasize that what I'm about to say has absolutely
nothing to do with the good football discussion on this list. <smile>
I know that God loves sports. <smile>
We have our Bible Study on the conference line every Thursday night at 6
PM Pacific time, 7 PM Mountain, 8 PM Central time, and 9 PM Eastern time.
You are all welcome to join us. I'll post that info below my question.
We also have our Prayer and Praise on Saturday night at 6:30 Pacific time,
7:30 Mountain, 8:30 Central, and 9:30 Eastern time. You are all welcome to
join us. <smile>
On Monday night and Friday nights, we have general chat. I am the
cordinator and leader of those general chat nights.
I am the moderator of all these conferences in our room. On Thursday
night, Donna Bell is the Bible Study cordinator and leader. On Saturday
night, Mike Canady is the Cordinator and leader of our Prayer and Praise
time.
Here is my question below.
If you were moderator or cordinator of such a conference, would you allow
people to listen to a football or baseball game while taking part in the
studies or Prayer time?
I feel that if we allowed this to go on, that this is not being reverent
to our Heavenly Father.
One doesn't wear a walkman in Church and listen to a game or to the radio
while attending worship services, or a Bible study or prayer group.
We have 2 excellent leaders here, Mike Canady and Donna Bell, and they are
both in agreement with me. <smile>
Please let me know what you all think.
Now, please remember, this has absolutely nothing to do with the
discussion that has been going on about football on this list. <smile>
Now for the conference line info.
Phone: 218-936-1200. Press 2, and when it asks for the conference code,
just key in 1844 and the pound sign. If you are the first to get in the
conference room, you will hear music until someone else joins the
conference.
Also note, that I do not own the conference line. <smile> If I did, I
wouldn't be playing Van Morrison every day. <grin> lol.
I'm looking forward to your answers.
God Bless you all.
Love and Blessings,
Pat Ferguson
