The song was recorded by FC Barnes and Janice Brown. I'm
still looking for the lyrics.

Subject: More clues about the mountain song
Hi there. I just talked to my co-worker and she gave me some of the
words from the mountain song I asked everyone about. The chorus is
something like;
I'm climbin' up on the rough side of the mountain, and I'm holdin' to
God's powerful hand. ... This old race will soon be over
Etc., etc., etc.
I'm going to try to do a quick Google search when I dash home for my
45-minute lunch, but don't know whether I'll have time to find anything
that fast. I'm wondering if these words ring a bell with you or anyone.
My co-worker's minister is ready to print up the program, and the only
thing they're waiting for is the name of the composer of this song.
