This is her last chance.  She still owes the program something like 4,000
dollars.  They probably figure, they would never get their money out of her
if she is in jail.  But in many respects, this alone has been one of the
biggest victories of Gretchen's life since she got out of the Christian
rehab home that, for all practical purposes, was a waste of time and energy.
Gretchen does seem to have the attitude, most of the time, that she can make
it now and that I have not felt in her since she got out of the Christian
home.
