Have you had any experience with sweet rice flour purchased at an Asian market?
I have recently come across a number of recipes using sweet rice flour. I have found packages of this at an Asian grocery store close to my home. My dietitian warned me against using products from non-American companies because of different labeling standards. I'm wondering, if the sweet rice flour is labeled as containing only that and comes in a sealed package (i.e., it wasn't packaged at the store from a bulk bin), can I reasonably assume it is safe? It would be very convenient to buy it from this store, but of course, top priority is not "poisoning" my celiac son.
Thank you for your help!
